FULL MOUTH REHABILITATION

FULL MOUTH REHABILITATION

What is a full-mouth rehabilitation?

A full mouth rehabilitation, sometimes also called full-mouth reconstruction or full-mouth restoration, is the treatment process of simultaneously rebuilding or restoring the entire dental arch (all teeth) in both upper and lower jaw.

A full-mouth rehabilitation is a treatment option when:

  • Teeth have been lost due to decay, periodontal disease or trauma.
  • A patient’s teeth have been heavily restored, decayed, fractured.
  • Teeth are worn because of long-term acid erosion (foods, beverages, acid reflux) or tooth grinding.
  • A complete occlusal (bite) adjustment is needed due to ongoing complaints of jaw and muscle pain or headaches.
